More than 60 youth, families, and community members joined CFFYD for our Roll With Us Community Skate Fundraiser, raising over $1,000 to support local youth affected by fatherlessness. From skating competitions and giveaways to heartfelt conversations about fatherhood, the afternoon reminded us of the power of community, connection, and showing up for young people.

What began as a conversation with a high school senior who struggled to imagine her future became a $17,500 opportunity. After discovering her passion for hair and exploring cosmetology as a career, CFFYD helped connect her with a full-ride scholarship to pursue professional training and licensure—turning an interest into a pathway forward.
Charity’s Closet: When Receiving Inspires Giving
At CFFYD’s latest Charity’s Closet event in Portsmouth, Virginia, 35 high-quality clothing items were distributed while teens practiced budgeting, financial literacy, and thoughtful decision-making. But the most memorable moment came when one young person offered part of his allowance so other teenagers could experience Charity’s Closet too.
